Qashier Unveils New Payment-Linked Loyalty Programme for Merchants in Asia Pacific

Singapore-based fintech startup Qashier has launched ‘Treats’, a new payment-linked loyalty programme enabling customers to earn points by paying with their linked cards.

Since piloting the loyalty programme with 7,000 customers in June 2024, Qashier merchants have seen an average of 26 per cent increase in customer purchases and an increased return rate of customers within an average of eight days.

According to a recent report from YouGov highlighting the loyalty programme landscape in Asia Pacific, the top barriers for consumers include:

  • inconvenience when signing up (52 per cent)
  • confusing reward structures (50 per cent)

To help merchants solve this challenge, Qashier has launched a loyalty solution powered by Treats. To register, customers scan a QR code to link their credit or debit card. Shoppers can then collect points automatically at any Treats-participating merchant by paying.

Shoppers can redeem Treats points to offset payments for their next visit to the same Treats merchants, with chain store merchants having the option to enable earning and redeeming points across their multistore.

Treats are available for QashierPOS and QashierPay merchants, enabling customers to make payments and earn points in-store. The QashierPay terminals with Treats enabled will also enable merchants to view Treats customer profiles and points when accepting payments.

Encouraging customer loyalty

QashierPay is set to launch in Thailand and the Philippines later this year, enabling more customers and merchants across Southeast Asia to access the Treats programme.

By integrating Treats, Qashier’s products now offer POS software capabilities and embedded payment options across credit cards, mobile payments, e-wallets, QR payments, online payments, and embedded loyalty solutions to become a three-in-one, unified smart POS for merchants.

This allows merchants to streamline their operations into a single device that enables them to make seamless transactions and manage operations at an affordable cost. The new Treats loyalty programme is free of charge and bundled in for QashierPOS and QashierPay merchants in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand till the end of 2024.
