Editorial policy
This page sets out how the coverage on this site is produced and the standards we hold it to. We update it when our process changes.
Where our coverage comes from
Coverage on this site comes from two places, and each article tells you which.
Syndicated coverage. Most articles are sourced from newswire and syndicated news services and published under the USA Newsroom masthead. We are a news aggregation and republication service for this material: we select and organise it, but the underlying reporting originates with the wire services and publishers who produced it. We do not conduct interviews or original field reporting.
Original articles. We also publish original coverage produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence, working from a defined set of topics and editorial guidelines set by our team. Every such article carries a note on the article page itself saying so. That note never appears on syndicated material, because it would be false — the labelling is tied to how each article was actually produced. Original articles are our editorial responsibility, and errors in them are ours to correct.
The archive
This site carries an archive of material published between February 2011 and December 2025. Archive articles are labelled as such on the page, are preserved as first published, and are excluded from our news feeds.
What our coverage is — and isn't
We publish news and market coverage for general information. We do not claim to break news, and nothing we publish is investment advice. See our full disclaimer.
Accuracy
We aim to carry accurate material, but the underlying reporting is its originators', and market data displayed on this site is supplied by third parties and may be delayed. Where an article cites a figure, that figure reflects the originator's understanding at the time of publication and may be superseded.
If something we carry is wrong, we fix it and we say so. Our corrections policy explains how.
Independence and sponsored material
No advertiser or third party has any say over what appears in our news coverage.
Separately, we may publish sponsored newswire material. That content originates with the issuing company or its agency, not with us, and it carries the compensation disclosure supplied by the originator. It is labelled "Sponsored" on the page and in listings, it is not editorial output, and it should not be read as our assessment of anything.
Holdings and conflicts
Where Market Equities Limited, its owners or anyone involved in producing an article holds a position in a security that article discusses, we disclose it in the article itself. If you believe we have missed a disclosure, please tell us and we will correct it.
Third-party content
This site displays market data and sentiment widgets supplied by third parties, including TradingView and Eagle Eye. That content is theirs, is provided for information only, and we do not independently verify it. It is subject to the terms of the providers concerned.
